Author Introduction

Marcello Benedetto was born in Venice in the year 1686 and died of tuberculosis in 1739 at the age of 53. He composed a huge variety of music ranging from church chores to concertos and sinfonias.

His music is somewhat related to that of Vivaldi as he was a younger contemporary composer influenced by the music of Vivaldi.
